Welcome to the website of Middle Village Chartered Public School. Middle Village is a school-in-the-making for students in grades 6, 7, and 8.
Charter schools are public schools—tuition free, non-religious, and highly accountable. They are operated according to a specific, mission-driven charter and are governed by a board of trustees. Middle Village School is seeking local approval in the town of Deerfield, New Hampshire, and we have reached several important milestones in that process.
In September, 2008, the Deerfield school board signed a proposed contract with Middle Village School, and in December, 2008, the New Hampshire Department of Education approved Middle Village School’s charter. In March, 2010, the voters of Deerfield will have the opportunity to ratify the proposed contract between the Deerfield school board and Middle Village School. Our plan to open Middle Village School in the fall of 2010 is contingent upon this vote.
We are seeking the support of voters, and we invite you to take our public outreach survey. If you would like to help make Middle Village School a reality, please see our Volunteer page.
